About the Journal

RELIEVE is the first electronic journal in Spain (conceived in 1994), it is academically oriented and completely free. Its main financial backer is its parent organisation, AIDIPE (Inter-university Association of Pedagogical Research) and it is included in the University of Granada’s collection of scientific journals. It is a communication tool for the educational community, particularly in the areas of research and educational evaluation, taking a broad perspective. Two issues are published each year in both Spanish and English. As a means of quality control and to ensure that research aims meet the scope of the journal, all articles submitted for eventual publication in RELIEVE will be evaluated by specialists in the area using a 'double-blind' review approach (guarantying anonymity for authors and reviewers during the publishing process).

Emotional education is essential in current times to help people tackle complex situations which, on many occasions, require innovative solutions. Educational agents, whether formal or non-formal, do not always feel that they are sufficiently prepared to educate in this setting. Thus, a priority must be to address socioemotional components in a systematic way when delivering training in the educational sphere. The present monograph, developed from a multidisciplinary standpoint, presents studies that serve to establish the conceptual basis and methodological tools that contribute towards emotional education and the promotion of personal wellbeing as a basic human right. Within the context of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and Horizon 2030, mental health takes on growing relevance, which opens the door to the promotion of projects that support the practice of quality emotional education. This is essential for times of crisis such as those inherent to current society.
