Contemporary society faces constant change and crisis in various aspects, generating uncertainty and transformations in social values. In the educational field, the lack of an accepted pedagogical model creates contradictions between declared objectives and practices. The XX International Congress of Educational Research focused on inclusive and quality education, serving as the basis for this special issue of the RELIEVE Journal. It emphasizes the need for a new educational approach focused on care, integral development, and the restoration of humanism in the curriculum. Educational improvement entails reflection on disciplines, systematic methodological reviews, and the development of more humane teaching roles to address social demands and provide an effective educational process.
