El tema del discurso académico lleva décadas llamando la atención de los investigadores y ha generado una extensa producción científica. Hecho que no es de extrañar dada su relevancia en el mundo de la enseñanza superior. Sobre todo, teniendo en cuenta que las universidades cada vez más centran sus discursos en la internacionalización, lo que provoca un gran número de estudiantes con competencia limitada que requieren apoyo para desarrollar su estilo académico.
