SINOPSIS EN CATÁLOGO EDITORIAL: DESCRIPCIÓN DE UN GÉNERO Y COMPARACIÓN ESPAÑOL-ALEMÁN

Abstract

In this paper, we describe the genre 'synopsis at publishing house catalogues' on the basis of the multílevel model of textual classification by Ciapuscio (2002). We pay special attention to the functional, situational, semantic, lexical and grammatical factors whích are present in the use of this genre as a vehicle of comnunication.

Secondly, we analyse a corpus of Spanish and German examples of the genre 'sinopsis', pointing out relevant differences at the lexical and grammatical level. Finally, we will show sorne practical uses of the genre 'synopsis' in the translation class (German-Spanish).
