At the Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona, Spai n), the challenge of introducing the teaching of digital competence in our curricula has resulted in the inclusion of two generic skills in all college degrees. In this context, INCOTIC-Grado is a tool designed to perform a self-diagnostic digital competence assessment for new University students in order to adjust the planning of the teaching of this competence when necessary. The aim of this paper is to present the design, validation and reliability process for this tool and the first data from its application to a pilotgroup.
