Percepción interlingüística de la entonación del español por hablantes chinos: Efectos de la experiencia lingüística y los rasgos prosódicos

Resumen

Este estudio tiene como objetivo explorar la percepción interlingüística de los patrones entonativos del español y el papel de la experiencia lingüística y los rasgos prosódicos en la identificación entonativa. Para ello, se presentaron estímulos a 43 oyentes nativos españoles y a 75 aprendices chinos de español en un paradigma de gating. Los resultados mostraron que la percepción de los contornos entonativos dependía en gran medida de la experiencia lingüística de los oyentes. Aunque los oyentes españoles obtuvieron mejores resultados que los chinos en la percepción de las diferentes patrones entonativos, la mayoría de los aprendices chinos fueron capaces de identificar correctamente los tipos oracionales después de escuchar el pico inicial de F0 debido a la transferencia de su capacidad de procesamiento tonal en su lengua materna. Además, la posición de la última sílaba acentuada también puede ser un factor relevante para discriminar el tipo oracional en función de la longitud del enunciado. En fin, los hallazgos sugirieron la existencia de un mecanismo complejo de integración para la percepción de la entonación interlingüística, en el que se deberían tener en cuenta la especificidad lingüística de los oyentes y las estructuras prosódicas de los materiales al evaluar el rendimiento auditivo.

Peizhu Shang, Beijing Institute of Technology

Peizhu Shang received her Ph.D. degree in Cognitive Science and Language in 2022. She is now a tenure-track assistant professor working at the Beijing Institute of Technology (China) and an external investigator at the Phonetics Laboratory of the Universitat de Barcelona. Her research interests include both theoretical and applied phonetics, and she has published six research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

Paolo Roseano, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia y University of South Africa

Paolo Roseano woks mainly on prosody, morphology, and sociolinguistics. He is editor-in-chief of the journal Estudios de Fonética Experimental, a leading member of the UNED Phonetics Laboratory (Spain) and a research fellow at the University of South Africa. He has published a large number of studies, including 50 research papers, 42 book chapters, 15 authored books, and 5 edited books and issues.

Wendy Elvira-García, Universitat de Barcelona

Wendy Elvira-García is an assistant professor at the University of Barcelona and a leading member of the Phonetics Laboratory there. She also serves as the associate editor of the journal Estudios de Fonética Experimental. In her career, she has published 25 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, a book review, and presented at over 40 conferences. She has also published 2 books, co-authored 16 book chapters, and edited a book.
