Abstract

This article presents a research whose aim is to verify if mathematics teachers use the resource of writing in class and how they do it. A brief theoretical discussion on the subject is presented and, for the development of this study, an online questionnaire on the subject was sent to mathematics teachers, which was properly analyzed based on the analysis of the categories. raised from the answers and the theory studied, it was observed that despite presenting several benefits for student learning, this instrument is still little used in practice by teachers.
