Best practices and special programs for students at risk of educational exclusion

Resumen

Best practices had recently been developed as one theoretical and practical perspective in different approaches to social and educational exclusion. Singularly its development is also visible concerning school vulnerability and students at risk. After analyzing different approaches and alerting their possibilities and pitfalls, the article offers a general framework that takes into account levels and dimensions of the best practices concept singularly related to the students at risk conceptions, politics and practices. Finally a Guide with a set of categories and more specific elements has been build for research and theoretical discussion about some of the special programs designed and developed in the Spanish lower Secondary Education for combating school failure.
