Educational innovation experience with a MOOC course: QR codes applied to teaching

Résumé

Currently training processes are reorganizing under principles of free and massiveness. This type of additional training has been called MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) and has emerged strongly in the context of university education, planning an exciting, disturbing and unpredictable
future according to the latest developments. The study presented is an important and innovative conceptual and practical proposal for what should be a methodological innovation of the XXI century in the design of non-formal educational activities organized in Higher Education. The key elements that should have all MOOC course for methodological and pedagogical satisfy the most particular students are presented. The objetive of this paper was to design, produce and evaluate a course about concepts and use of Quick Response codes (QR codes) for students. The evaluation of the proposal was made by students of Primary Education and Pedagogy, belonging to Faculty of Education, University of Seville, with satisfactory results.
