MOOC typologies: Design and educational implications

Résumé

This article discusses the importance of the MOOC may have to spread open and quality content in variety of contexts. At the same time are showing the different models of organization and design that can present, depending on the objectives and strategies proposed from different perspectives, with special emphasis on the two most wide spread types of xMOOC and cMOOC,
picking up the advantages and disadvantages of each one of them, as well as the hybrid model MOOC. It is important, there is concern about high dropout that occur in this kind of course, despite the freedom that students have when you sign up to them. It is note worthy that there is not much research that highlight the influence and posible changes that may arise in MOOC
educational processes.
