A chance for students who fail in school to leave the risk of exclusion zone. The experience of professional training schools in the Basque autonomous community

Resumen

This article shows a summary of the research realized by a research group of the University of the Basque Country (UBC) about the experience that they are doing in the Professional Initiation Schools (PIS) in the Basque Autonomous Community (BAC). In these Schools, and working with these two programs, Supplemental Enrollment Programs (SEP) and the Professional Initiation Program (PIP), students, that for different reasons are failing in their studies, are working and sharing with the same purposes, teachers and infrastructure, giving them an opportunity and helping to avoid a settle in the area at risk of exclusion.
