Resumen

In this paper we propose that practice of assessment can be a privileged context for learning and teaching the learning to learn competence. First, we characterize this competence from a social constructivist and situated perspective. Secondly, we analyze different key elements of the process of learning to learn. After there, we present a multidimensional model of assessment and we propose some criteria for designing an assessment practice that improve their acquisition. We finish suggesting some guiding principles to develop the teaching of this competence
