Abstract

We are currently working in the Knowledge and Technology Society. Education has a key role with emerging demands. In addition, with the current health situation due to COVID19, schools have felt the need to implement the digital sphere in all their actions, making visible the need for a real transformation.


From science, when we refer to education and technology, numerous researches approach it in a fragmented way: teachers, students, pedagogical implementation, families, etc.


To provide a holistic vision, specific policies are created aimed at the comprehensive development of the organizations' digital competence. We are talking about the European Framework for Digitally Competent Educational Organizations, and its implementation in Andalusia, initially voluntarily with the Digital Transformation Program, and later with COVID19, obligatorily through the Educational Digital Transformation.


Considering these frameworks, a qualitative and longitudinal research is designed. The purpose of the case study is to know how is this transformation process in schools of Seville, incorporating the perceptions of the participants.


In the results obtained, aspects related to equipment, teachers and students are identified. As well as the emergence of digital culture as a key factor. In this regard, it is possible to think that, to a higher level of digitization of the organizations, corresponds a greater digital culture. As well as a model of cultural transformation with a favourable predisposition to the digitisation of these. However, it will be necessary to wait for the completion of the process to identify factors that hinder digitization of the organizations.
