University faculty perceptions about training actions supported by the net

Abstract

This article described the visions, beliefs and attitudes that the university faculty possesses with regard to the educational possibilities that distance and net learning provide for its educational practice, as well some critical variables with relevance for these formative modalities are analyzed. The basis and results offers have been obtained through different investigations of different competitive bidding, product all them by the interest that the problem that we analyze has wakened up in the scientific community and politics when considering them high-priority lines of investigation, analysis and study. Some of the results describe the training and skills required on technological and didactic models about the university faculty, efforts of the academic authorities toward the support of these formative
modalities in their respective universities, and the necessity of claiming investigation lines that justify, capitalize and increase the knowledge toward the same ones.
