Abstract

The aim of this article is to show and discuss the role they can play PISA data provided in a
broader framework related to the evaluation of the quality of education systems. To do this, some
of the criticism and led resistance to the data provided by PISA actually have to do with their
misuse in the process of benchmarking, as well as, more broadly, to the evaluation of educational
systems.
