We present a study that arises in a mentorship process of novice university teachers, developed at the School of Education of the University of Granada, in the primary education teachers degree. In this context, the potential of slides as a support to teachers’ oral discourse emerges as one of the relevant questions when reflecting about teaching practice in a mathematics education course. Due to the existing diversity of critiques to this resource, we attend to students’ opinion to go further about the use of slides as support to the development of oral explanations. Our aim is to identify possibilities and limitations of the use of this resource and to understand the implications of its use in the classroomDownloads
