El aforismo en castellano, tradición y vanguardia

An aphorism is an extremely brief prose of gnomic, non narrative and non fictional nature. To these defining features, we could add others plus contingent as its tendency to humor, wit, the surprise effect, the ellipse, or its passion for disagreeing. During the avant-garde, this discrepancy becomes lysergic and begins to subvert some of the traits that were supposedly essential. Against the efficacy of the classic aphorism, vanguards begin to build aphorisms from digressions, impossible logics, arbitrary images, moving into a new transgendered territory that drinks more than ever of poetry. Authors such as Fernández Moreno, Gómez de la Serna, Ramos Sucre, Juan Ramón or Bergamín gave the aphorism an unusual vitality and turned it into a new gadget.Downloads
