All names and emails included in this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes stated by the journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or individual.

All data gathered from registered and non-registered users of the journal is required for the basic functioning of peer-reviewed journals. This includes information that makes communication possible for the editorial process, data that is used to inform readers about authorship and the publication of content, data that enables aggregated data to be gathered on reader behaviour and data that enables the geopolitical and social elements of academic communication to be tracked   

The journal’s editorial team used this information to orientate their work regarding publication and improve the journal. Data that assists the development of this publication platform, such as metrics pertaining to articles, may be shared with its developer Public Knowledge Project is an anonymous and aggregated way, with exceptions where appropriate.

Data will not be sold by this journal or PKP and nor will it be used for any purpose that differs to those laid out here.

Authors who publish in this journal are responsible for the personal data contained in the research reported in it.

All those who participate in any given issue of this journal strive to meet industry standards around data privacy, including requisites of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for “rights of data subjects” that includes (a) notice of non-compliance; (b) right of access; (c) the right to be forgotten; (d) data portability; and (e) privacy by design.

The GDPR also allows recognition of “public interest in data availability”, which is of particular importance for all those involved in maintaining, with the greatest possible integrity, the public archive of academic publications.
