MICROHISTORIA E HISTORIA DE LA TRADUCCIÓN

Abstract

The Microhistory is a choice related to the studies made on history more than a methodology which is based on a lumping of theories. This choice is a way to search another dimension while going on a journey to the past in general. The microhistory is a way to retrieve the history of anonymous characters and that of the less outstanding events. Le Grand Massacre des Chats by Robert Danton is one of the examples which show us how can we go back to an event as «trivial» as a killing which took place at a printing office in Paris during the XVIII century, in order to analyse precisely the behaviour of characters (such as translators), and theevents relegated to the second or third position. The position given by History tothose inconspicuous characters may make the microhistory the most suitable methodto study them.
