Abstract

The teaching-learning processes are mediated by the use of materials designed for educational purposes and resources selected to support the process. During the period of confinement, the teachers who found the greatest difficulties in adapting to the new situation were those who based their learning model on content or on content and competencies (mixed model), in which the textbook is the most used resource. It is worth considering whether, as a result of this reflection, the pandemic has led to a change in the use of teaching resources. Thus, the present study analyzes the use of means, materials and resources used in secondary schools with a Spanish curriculum after the confinement. The study was conducted between October 2020 and January 2021. Students of the Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training at XXX University (XXX as peer Spanish) provided data, through a questionnaire on educational innovation, on 177 classrooms in which they had carried out their internships. The analysis shows a mastery of technological and audiovisual resources, used in 87% of the classrooms. The use of printed resources is around 70%, compared to the use of manipulatives, which does not reach 30%. This trend towards digitalization is accentuated in Mathematics, while Spanish Language and Literature stands out for the use of printed resources. On the other hand, in public education, this predisposition to the use of ICTs is seen to a lesser extent than in charter and private schools.
