Abstract

Care for diversity is part of a new approach to teaching. Schools must meet
the challenge to satisfy everyone’s right to education and to foster equal
opportunities. This entails a new way of thinking and a new behaviour that is often
missing. The new approach requires a new attitude towards diversity, where it must
be understood as a positive feature for all. This paper emphasizes the importance
of attitudes in the attention to diversity.
