Abstract

This paper presents a proposal of a general procedure for educational consultation processes addressed to assist teachers in improving their own teaching practices and promoting meaningful learning in the classroom. This proposal is based on research results coming from the analysis of a consultation process addressed to improve evaluation practices, which are first presented. The general procedure, which includes four different levels of joint action between teachers and the educational consultant, is then described. Finally, some critical elements for the efficacy of this kind of educational consultation process are summarized.
