Abstract
The collaborative assessment scenario is a sociocultural setting where what is done and said determines the kind of interaction that will take place among the people involved as well as the activity carried out jointly. In this article we will reflect on the role of teachers and educational counselors' motivation to maintain assessment as well as the possibilities for the counselor to create and maintain an environment that is motivating for both him/herself and those being advised.
