Resumen

The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the need for a specific, naturalized and contextualized analysis and understanding of school failure and educational exclusion as complex realities. The "exclusion paradigm", as epistemological framework, helps to raise awareness of areas and dynamics of vulnerability that surround students under probable risk of educational exclusion. All their scholarly (classrooms, centers and regional policies), social (family, environment) and personal factors, conditions and dynamics involve, determine and gradually build this risk situation. In order to achieve his understanding, the biographical narrative method will give us access to the voice of those involved in these complex processes that must be studied through case study.
