Epistemological assumptions of the TALIS report: What does OECD expect of teachers?

Resumen
This paper analysis of the epistemological assumptions that underlie the TALIS survey, developed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2009. The survey was conducted with members of the OECD countries and countries invited, and focus on the analysis of the conditions of teaching, training, difficulties, beliefs and attitudes related to teaching. From the questions asked to teachers, as well as theoretical analysis, we intend to identify the ideal kind of teacher and to form implicit in research, revealing expectation OECD´s, influencing local educational policies. Our reflection indicates a subjectivist trend, based on constructivism, utilitarianism and phenomenical understanding of reality, highlighting the accountability of teachers for the results of education
