Since the analysis of the Memoirs of six contemporary authors, this paper goes in depth in the games played by children, as this activity is narrated in the selected works. In this way, we will see not only how the Spanish Civil War and the post-war period influenced the childhood of the main characters, but also how children interpret violence through diversion. Moreover, we study the space where those games took place: the urban space for little boys and the private location of the house of the childhood for the girls.
