Exploring qualitative research in the field of social work around health: Perspectives, challenges and approaches in the Argentine context
Main Article Content
Abstract
Social work is found in strategic spaces for the development of health research and for building systematic and accurate information on emerging conflicts in our societies. In Argentina, fruitful contributions can be found, both from research and intervention, which contribute to the construction of scientific knowledge in health. This study proposes to reflect on the scientific output of Social Work in the field of health in Argentina, paying special attention to research that has used qualitative methodologies. The development of the research is structured in two moments. Firstly, we pay attention to national publications and, secondly, we describe works carried out at the local level in the city of Mar del Plata. To this end, publications in Argentine social work journals and the repository of degree theses from the Social Work degree program at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata were considered.
