Abstract

El volumen recientemente publicado "Cuidado, relación, profesión: cuestiones de género en el trabajo social - Contribución al debate internacional" editado por Roberta T. Di Rosa y Luigi Gui, ofrece al lector un estudio en profundidad y una reflexión muy articulada sobre el tema del género en el trabajo social con una amplia mirada al escenario nacional e internacional a través de contribuciones que abordan los distintos aspectos del tema a partir de análisis bibliográficos e investigaciones empíricas. El hilo conductor de la aportación científica de cada uno de los autores de esta apreciable obra de alcance internacional es la autorreflexión generativa sobre el género orientada al cambio, a la superación del estereotipo, del prejuicio, que sólo a través de un trabajo de deconstrucción social del modelo cultural dominante será posible que el servicio social opere responsablemente contra todas las formas de discriminación y opresión a través de la promoción de los derechos civiles y las políticas sociales inclusivas.
