Résumé

Using new ways of evaluation in the process of creating the European Higher Education Area implies that students need to reflect on their own learning in order to become active in the whole teaching-learning process. For this reason, this article explains an evaluation proposal based on the use of portfolio in a core subject that follows the principles of the European Credit Transfer System in English Studies. The article will explain the different activities that create the portfolio and the different competences that students develop with them
