Abstract

This article proposes a reading of some poems by Fina García Marruz in which we can recognize her particular way of using commonplaces about the feminine. It is affirmed that this Cuban author radically reformulates the content of topics such as silence, domestic space or reproductive function, thus making possible to think about an active, productive and significant female subject, and inscribing transcendence into everyday life.
