Julio Cortázar y el cine: ventanas a lo insólito
Abstract
El escritor argentino Julio Cortázar fue un ávido consumidor de cultura, y en particular mantuvo una vinculación intensa con el cine, tanto como espectador como por la realización de algunas películas a partir de cuentos suyos. Este artículo se ocupa de las principales adaptaciones que se han estrenado, tanto en cine como en televisión, y propone un análisis sobre la forma en que diversos directores han resuelto el pasaje al lenguaje audiovisual de algunos de los elementos distintivos de la poética de Cortázar: la presencia de lo insólito en lo real, el tema del doble, la proyección de la infancia en la vida adulta de los personajes, la irrupción de lo sobrenatural en lo cotidiano, entre otros.
Argentine writer Julio Cortázar was an avid consumer of culture, and in particular had a strong connection with the film, both as a spectator as the embodiment of some films from his stories. This article deals with the main adaptations that have premiered in film and television, and proposes an analysis about the way various directors have resolved the passage to the visual language of some of the distinctive elements of Cortázar poetic: the issue of double, projection of childhood into adulthood of characters, the irruption of the supernatural in everyday life, among others.
