In this paper we will make a review of the presence of Information and Communication Technologies in children's literature in recent years and, in particular, we will focus on current trends in storybook apps for young readers in the Anglo-Saxon and Spanish scope. We will analyze the most important features of texts in digital devices: textual typologies, the authors of storybook apps and interactive features of them. We will present most relevant features of a selection of apps and we will reflect the role of active reader that interacts with characters and intervenes in narrative progression.
