Canal (2016), the last poetry book by Javier Fernández (Córdoba, Spain), poses
with his uniqueness (matter, tone, shape) a reflection on the limits of what can be understood
by poetry in the early decades of the third millennium. His proposal indirectly answers some
of the questions at issue (prosaic, lyrical, subjectivity), and this can raise from their particular
profile of the lines from the current panorama of Spanish poetry, both in terms of the
construction of the subject lyrical and in consideration of the practice of poetic writing.
