With this message, we congratulate María Andrea Giovine, a member of our editorial team, on her recent appointment as director of the National Library of Mexico and the Institute of Bibliographic Research. This appointment is a recognition of her work as a specialist in intermediality and iconotextuality. Her research focuses on the relationships between image and text, the intersections between literature and visual arts in the 20th and 21st centuries, visual poetics, art-language relations, as well as the links between print culture and visual culture, with a special interest in the circulation of modern Mexican art in print. She was one of the latest additions to our team, alongside Juan Pedro Martín Villarreal, a professor of Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the University of Salamanca.
