Since the tragedy of Euripides the myth of Medea, the mother who murders her children to take revenge on her husband, Jason, has become a focus of debates from different points of view (the gender critics, the rights of women, colonialism, psychoanalysis) and in recent times has been related to gender violence, in the so-called “Medea syndrome”.
