Abstract

In spite of the difficulty we face when accepting a typology of the Plautinian Palliata characters and the portrait-robot wich a generally simplifies Plautus´corpus, it seems clear that the Miles Gloriosus one makes a type-role resulting from a long tradition tha the dramatish cristalized, giving him original features and creating a stereotype-character that not only passed to the Western Literature but also to other signifiant systems.
