Abstract

In this text we will present the context of creation and exegesis of Ediciones Originales. We take a recent exhibition of some of the editions published over the course of two decades by this imprint as the focal point for a reflection on the contradictory editorial shift that can be seen across the different editions from this multifaceted publishing house. We analyze the imprint’s professional reference points – models of editing, distribution and production that are leading the company to reconsider its very structure and its future projects.

The extended notion of the literary work as an artistic work or multiple edition; the contribution of editing to the creation of subjectivities, emphasizing forms of consciousness, experience, and the subjective aspect of human relationships; published authors; and a special focus on the reconstitution of what were once marginal stories … all of these form part of our drive toward the search for new editorial meaning for the future.
