Abstract

The article reports on a Research & Development Based on PracticeProject that we have in progress: AlSusCon – Sustainable Village:Contribution to the local and personal development of Contigethrough the recovery of its popular musical heritage. The projectconsists on a sociocultural and empowering intervention with thepopulation of the village of Contige [located in Central Portugal(Sátão, Viseu)]. From the subject of Non-Formal Education with SpecificPopulations, of the Music Degree taught at the School of Educationof the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, and with the initial useof Service Learning, we have been proceeding to a socioculturalintervention, of which we highlight two fundamental components:the creation of an intergenerational Tuna (ContiTuna) and therealization of a work to recover popular cultural musical heritage.
