This paper describes the problems of a bookseller, manager of a specialized bookstore: Iberoamericana-Vervuert. Our clients are mostly academic libraries outside Spain, especially Germany, France and the United States. We are not as interested in the bestseller, but the academic book and books that reflect cultural, social, political or historical themes in Spain and Latin America. The thesis of this essay is that the book market in Spain, and even more in Latin America, is poor and it’s necessary overcome this problem for make visible and accessible authors and works, not just selling books in a massive and rapid way.Downloads
