Abstract

Conversation with researcher Julio Premat of the Université Paris 8 on his lecture "Of Forms, Spectres and Utopias in Contemporary Narrative" Premat first outlined a Borgean conception of literature as a promise never fulfilled and as an exaltation of form, a conception that turns out to be of utopian roots. From this observation, he commented on the utopian projection that runs through an area of contemporary Argentine narrative and, beyond this, the spectral and utopian dimension of contemporary literature, in reaction to the so-called "death of literature".
