La estrategia del acoso. Análisis de la novela Billy Budd, de Herman Melville, en clave de acoso laboral
Abstract
En este artículo se trata de demostrar que la novela Billy Budd de Herman Melville, puede ser considerada como una precursora de lo que años más tarde se conocerá como acoso en el trabajo, mobbing. Se describen las características del acosador, los límites de las leyes para prevenir esos comportamientos y la responsabilidad de los dirigentes de las organizaciones en estos casos.
The target of this article is to try to show that Herman Melville’s novel Billy Budd can be considered a forerunner of what years later will be known as harassment in the workplace, mobbing. In the work are described the characteristics of the bully, the limits of the laws to prevent those behaviours, and the responsibility of the organizations’ managements in these cases.
