A cegueira vista sob duas ópticas: o livro e a adaptação para o cinema de Ensaio sobre a cegueira
Abstract
O atual artigo se propõe a discutir a transposição para o cinema da obra literária Ensaio sobre a cegueira de José Saramago realizada pelo diretor Fernando Meirelles, evidenciando as características de cada uma das vertentes artísticas. O objetivo do texto é perceber de qual maneira literatura e cinema se complementam na construção de novos sentidos e as diferenças de linguagem presentes nos signos citados.This article aims to discuss the cinematographic transposition of José Saramago ́s literary work Blindness, directed by Fernando Meirelles. The purpose is to show the characteristics of each one of the artistic endeavors. Therefore I will explore in which way literature and film complement one another in the construction of new meanings, as well as the language differences presented in the mentioned signs.
