Abstract

In his work, Javier Cercas provides a repast where readers can savior all the themes and procedures that nowadays are attributed to the autofiction genre: autobiography, fiction and reality, lie and truth, memory and history. These subjects will help us to accomplish a suitable comparative analysis between Soldados de Salamina, El impostor and El monarca de las sombras. In those three novels the hero and the villain gain a relevant role in an environment where the concept of historical memory is used from opposed and contrary perspectives.
