The purpose of this article is to explore the current concepts of creativity and the creative process as the main object of the psychology of art, and to review the available theoretical bases and models for their study. The text focuses on the Western tradition and seeks to provide the academic community with some materials and methodological tools centred on the full study of the artistic creative process and concepts coming from the field of both theatrical and musical psychology.
