The Mexican Verónica Gerber Bicceci combines her work in the field of plastic arts with literature, opting for the production of hybrid texts in which letters and images complement each other. Gerber emphasizes that in the visual arts scene of Mexico City there are new strategies for creation, production and communication of projects, fostered by a greater permeability of the visual arts in the face of productive exchange with adjacent disciplines. In order to discover the potentialities and assess the results of this permeability, this essay will analyze what mechanisms allow Veronica Gerber a review of the uses that tradition associated with literature, on the one hand, and the visual arts, on the other, in her attempt to define them as closed and independent fields. To this end, reading hypotheses will be displayed for the works Mudanza (2013) and Conjunto vacío (2015).
