DIAGNOSIS OF THE INFORMATIONAL COMPETENCE IN PEDAGOGY-PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS OF THE MATANZAS UNIVERSITY

The professional problems that the educational psychologist faces in his professional performance linked to the challenges that diversity and inclusion represent in the different contexts of action, they demand an increasingly inclusive and interdisciplinary educational and intervention response based on research. The article presents the results of the study of the Informational Competence (IC) of the 1st year students of the Degree in Pedagogy-Psychology of the Matanzas’ University. An analysis is carried out based on the quantitative-qualitative data, taking into account the results obtained from the reviewed documents, the criteria provide by the interviewed and surveyed subjects. At the end, the achievements and shortcomings in relation to IC of the evaluated students are synthesized, which justify the need to improve their training in the undergraduate program that can contribute to solving the previously formulated scientific problem.
