Abstract
In this text we consider the approach taken by many artists to apply their practice to the problems and processes of social order. On the one hand, we present the ways in which certain artistic practices of a collaborative nature are conceived as exercises that question and critique both the art system and its institutions and also other fields and their respective institutional apparatus, such as education or the media. On the other hand, from a cross-cutting perspective we highlight different strategies or mechanisms in which the labor of editing has become a tool for translating and circulating the knowledge generated via the contextual work associated with the practice of art.
