Algorithmic Thumbnails

Abstract
In the same way that the composer Johan Sebastian Bach used the letters of his last name to create a musical motif (in German “B” is "bemol", “A” is "la", “C” is "do" and “H” is "si natural"), on many other occasions people who are dedicated to creating music have used abstract concepts as a tool to compose. The use of logic, mathematics, geometry or chance have always been present in art, crafts and folklore.
Represented in the form of algorithms, today logic, mathematics and probability are also present in all facets of our lives. More than ever, our current globalized society delegates the making of many daily decisions to algorithms. The amount of information we generate forces us to depend on complex computing systems whose operation, however, we do not socially understand.
With these five miniatures I propose to introduce ourselves into the abstract universe of algorithms to materialize them in the form of music and launch them into the world with the aim of helping to become aware of this reality.
