Siyasa islamic site is one of the most relevant examples of daily life during the XI, XII and XIII centuries. The sudden abandonment of its inhabitants as well as the lack of a subsequent occupation allowed the maintenance of the original architectonical structures which brought to light in the 80’s excavations. Nevertheless, since that first works the site has not been properly preserved nor covered. Consequently, the archeological remains left at the mercy of the meteorology that sorely affected it. Nowodays, an ambitious integral project is taking place in order to protect the site to reduce its vulnerability, apart from improving the accessibility and enhance such an important archeological site.
