Recursos léxicos para expresar la modalidad en el idioma macedonio estándar

Este artículo tiene como objetivo identificar los recursos léxicos para expresar la modalidad y que se utilizan en la prensa en la lengua macedonia, así como su funcionamiento y características específicas. La investigación es descriptiva y los datos se recopilan de un gran número de artículos periodísticos de periódicos electrónicos en la República de Macedonia del Norte. La muestra consta de 10 000 resultados encontardos en Google. El análisis de los datos tiene en cuenta el análisis sistémico funcional de Halliday (1994) que relaciona la modalidad con la función interpersonal del lenguaje que señala la actitud del hablante hacia el contenido de la proposición, así como la actitud de Fowler (1994) de que los editores y periodistas utilizan estrategias textuales para poner en primer plano los actos de habla que expresan valores y creencias. Los resultados de la investigación muestran que en el discurso periodístico en lengua macedonia hay muchos medios léxicos para expresar la modalidad como en otros idiomas. Los resultados sugieren que los artículos periodísticos funcionan no solo para informar al lector, sino también para dirigirlo a cierto punto de vista a través del uso de los medios léxicos modales apropiados.
